Prop and Art Design
Knight Driver, otherwise known as Brian, is making all of the props for the film. These include gadgets and gear that our soldiers (and one combat mech) wear..
One of the coolest thing Brian's doing is building the Multibodies!! Multibodies are 9 inch in diameter spheres that accompany the soldiers on their missions. Covered with lenses for surveillance, they also have a detachable gun unit and ammunition reservoir. Check out the great photos in the Props section!
Based in Connecticut, Brian is awesome at what he does! I highly recommend this guy!!
My name is Brian Thone. I am 36 years old, born and raised in Connecticut. Currently employeed as a product designer for a major hobby Model Railroad company here in town. I design life like miniatures in different scales. A job right up my alley as I have been told. I have always been a fan of film. Sci Fi and Action in particular. I studied to become a make up artist for many years but found my passion started leaning towards props and model making.
I learned the tasks of miniature construction and detailed painting from specialists currently in the industry. Later my skills lead me to one of my major side hobbies and business which is the constuction of Movie prop cars seen on TV and in feature films. I am well know for my work with Knight Rider Replicas (Hence my nick name Knightdriver.) Working in film production is my dream job. I have done small films in the past with friends as well as a couple of small shorts for a Viacom management training video. Most projects I get called upon are small, low budget shorts due to my skills in making expensive looking props and sets for almost nothing. I also had a few years in community theater as well, doing set design and construction.
Getting the oppurtunity to work on Deployment Strategy was a chance to get my imagination running again. Bringing some one elses vision to life is something I look forward to and proud to be apart of.
